NACIA Alert -- Second SRA Draft Released!
February 17, 2010
USDA has released the second draft of the SRA. Please click here to see the press release the Department has issued. We are in the process of taking a close look at the draft, and will send out a more detailed analysis when we have completed our review. At first take, however, the “significant changes” that USDA asserts it has made are a step in the right direction, but clearly not a big enough step. As you can see by the last paragraph in the press release, USDA continues to rely on faulty analysis of the program as justification for cuts. If you would like to take a look at the second draft, please click here.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
